Our Mission is to teach God's Word, to show His Love, to serve as a beacon to all, and to share faith in Jesus Christ.
Messiah is a growing congregation that recently celebrated its 125th birthday! We are a very active church that has members of all ages. Messiah is also home to the Messiah Lutheran Nursery Program, a preschool program for ages 3, 4 and 5. The church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Delaware Maryland Synod. Messiah is located in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area of Carroll County, Maryland.

Sunday School is held at 10:15 am in Celebration Hall.
Messiah Snow Policy If the Carroll County Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, the 9 am service and Sunday School will be cancelled.
The church answering machine will be updated to announce if any services are cancelled.
Messiah members will be notified of church
closings via email.

Important Update - beginning in January, Messiah will have one service on Sunday. The service will be at 9 am. Sunday
School will follow at 10:15 in Celebration Hall.
Also starting in January, Messiah will have weekly communion!
