Messiah welcomes you to their 20th Annual Strawberry Festival!
The Strawberry Festival began 20 years ago as a way for the church to raise funds to construct a fellowship building. The festival started out small, but then began to grow. Through 19 years of rain, sun, heat and cold, our festival has become one of the largest in the area, having sold over 26,000 pounds of strawberries. The festival has games, pony rides, entertainment, a silent auction, food, craft and antique vendors, and of course, strawberry shortcake. Proceeds from past festivals have funded the construction of 'Celebration Hall', a building used by Messiah Nursery School, Sunday School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Lions Club and other community organizations. Every year a portion of the proceeds goes to help those in need both locally (disasters, womens shelters, Rose Felter Scholarship Fund, community members with medical needs) and nationally (Katrina victims, world hunger victims, relief for earthquake victims in Haiti). Messiah invites you to come out, enjoy the day, the people, have lots of fun and eats lots and lots of strawberries!
