Our Mission is to teach God's Word, to show His Love, to serve as a beacon to all, and to share faith in Jesus Christ.
Messiah is a growing congregation that recently celebrated its 125th birthday! We are a very active church that has members of all ages. Messiah is also home to the Messiah Lutheran Nursery Program, a preschool program for ages 3, 4 and 5. The church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Delaware Maryland Synod. Messiah is located in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area of Carroll County, Maryland.

Worship Schedule
Traditional services are held at
9:15 am.
Regular schedule of services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am will resume in the fall.
Messiah Snow Policy
If the Carroll County Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, the 8:30 am service and Sunday School will be cancelled.
The 11:00 am service may be held, depending on the weather. Please call the church to find out if the 11:00 service has been
cancelled.
The church answering machine will be updated to announce if any services are cancelled.
Messiah members will be notified
of church closings via email.

Strawberry Festival Update!
Thanks to the community, entertainers, vendors, Messiah members and beautiful weather, Messiah had a hugely
successful Strawberry Festival!! We thank everyone who came out to support the festival and eat strawberries! Photos

Summer Service Hours Start June 7
Messiah will begin summer services on Sunday, June 7th. We will have one service that is held
at 9:15 am. We will resume our regular schedule of services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am in the fall. Sunday School, held at
9:45 am, will also resume in the fall.
Vacation Bible School
'Get Ready For The Ride Of A Lifetime!' VBS will be held from June 29 through July 3. VBS will be
in Celebration Hall (behind the church) and go from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm. We welcome children ages 3 (potty trained) through 6th
grade. Activities include bible stories, crafts, games, skits, songs and more! Please call 410-795-9174 for a registration
