Our Mission is to teach God's Word, to show His Love, to serve as a beacon to all, and to share faith in Jesus Christ.
Messiah is a growing congregation that recently celebrated its 125th birthday! We are a very active church that has members of all ages. Messiah is also home to the Messiah Lutheran Nursery Program, a preschool program for ages 3, 4 and 5. The church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Delaware Maryland Synod. Messiah is located in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area of Carroll County, Maryland.

Sunday School is held at 10:20 am in Celebration Hall.
Messiah Snow Policy If the Carroll County Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, the 9 am service and Sunday School will be cancelled.
The church answering machine will be updated to announce if any services are cancelled.
Messiah members will be notified of church

Vacation Bible School
Join us at Sonrise National Park for our annual vacation bible school! VBS includes bible stories, crafts,
games, skits and songs. VBS will be held July 9-13 from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm at Celebration Hall. Ages 3 (potty trained)
through 6th grade are welcome. Please call 410-795-9174 for a registration form.

The Music and Worship Committee would like to invite everyone to refreshments after each service in May.
The weather is wonderful and the church was overflowing for recent services, so we're celebrating with juice and cookies!

Messiah Night at the Frederick Keys Game
On Saturday, June 16, we are sponsoring a "Messiah Night at the Frederick Keys" baseball game.
The game is at 6 pm and we invite everyone to join us!
A Day of Fun and Fellowship!
Messiah will be having "Messiah's Family and Friends Picnic" on Sunday August 19, at Celebration
Hall. We will have a service in the church at 9 am, and then a Sunday Service outside at 11am. The picnic will begin at 12 noon
and include lots of food and games. Come dressed to play volleyball, wiffle ball, badminton, horseshoes, croquet, and various
other yard games. This to be a day of fun and fellowship!
