Messiah Lutheran Evangelical Church is a growing congregation that will celebrate its 140th birthday this summer! We are a very active church that is home to members of all ages. Messiah is also home to the Messiah Lutheran Nursery Program, a preschool program for ages 3, 4 and 5. The church is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Delaware Maryland Synod. Messiah is Located in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area of Carroll County Maryland.

SNOW POLICY
If the Carroll County Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, the 9 am service and Sunday School will be cancelled.
The church answering machine will be updated to announce if any services are cancelled.
Messiah members will be notified of church closings via email.

CARROLL COUNTY FOOD SUNDAY
As the need for food in our community continues to grow, Messiah will be collecting food for the Carroll County Food Sunday. Our most recent donation was over 200 pounds of food!

The following food donations are always accepted:
Canned meat, hearty soups, breakfast items, peanut butter and jelly, dry pasta, and spaghetti sauce.
​
All donations can placed in the annex of the church.
