Welcome To
Messiah Lutheran Evangelical Church is a growing congregation that will celebrate its 138th birthday this summer! We are a very active church that is home to members of all ages. Messiah is also home to the Messiah Lutheran Nursery Program, a preschool program for ages 3, 4 and 5. The church is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Delaware Maryland Synod. Messiah is Located in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area of Carroll County Maryland.

CHURCH SERVICES

SUNDAY WORSHIP:
Weekly recorded worship will continue for the remainder of the year.
Outdoor worship is held in the parking lot of Celebration Hall every Sunday at 9am. Masks must be worn, please bring your own chair.
If it rains, worship will be cancelled.
SUNDAY SCHOOL:
Outdoor sunday school will start at the beginning of October.
NURSERY SCHOOL:
Closed until at least January 2021.
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL:
The 2020 Strawberry Festival has been canceled.
We hope to see everyone in 2021!
Pastor Dubsky will be posting weekly sermons online. They will be uploaded to the Facebook and YouTube links below.
Bishop Gohl will stream a worship service each Sunday at 10am and each Wednesday at 7pm. They will be available on the Delaware-Maryland Synod Website, Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Strawberry Festival has been canceled, with no plans of rescheduling for later in the year.

SNOW POLICY
If the Carroll County Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, the 9 am service and Sunday School will be cancelled.
The church answering machine will be updated to announce if any services are cancelled.
Messiah members will be notified of church closings via email.

CARROLL COUNTY FOOD SUNDAY
As the need for food in our community continues to grow, Messiah will be collecting food for the Carroll County Food Sunday. Our most recent donation was over 200 pounds of food!
The following food donations are always accepted:
Canned meat, hearty soups, breakfast items, peanut butter and jelly, dry pasta, and spaghetti sauce.
All donations can placed in the annex of the church.
